FAQ

How do I apply for my child to be represented?

You can apply directly by emailing info@tdtalentmanagement.com to request representation for your child.

We would need your child’s photo, name, age, any skills and abilities as well as any experience that they have. Please also send a short introduction video with a short monologue/poem and if any singing or dance skills. If you are an existing talent, please send your spotlight link and any showreels.

We will be in contact with you with our decision within two weeks. If you do not hear back within this time then unfortunately your application has not been successful.

Does it cost any money to join the agency?

TD Talent Management do not charge any joining or administration fees for talent representation. When your child gets a job we will take a commission rate of 20% from their fees.

Note: Every agency will take commission payments from any work secure for their clients.

TD Talent Management's agency fee buyouts, BSF, Usage etc, would be on a scale as stated below:

• Commercials – 20%

• TV & Film – 20%

• Theatre – 15%

Are there any additional costs once I have joined?

There are no additional costs that you would need to pay, however we would need to have you registered on Spotlight (Spotlight is used every day by casting directors looking to find the best performers for their projects). The membership would last for the year and we would use Spotlight to submit your child to all suitable roles and get them auditions.

We would also require up-to-date headshots for your child. We have some recommended photographers or you can use or find your own to have them done.

Can an agency guarantee work for my child?

No. There are no agencies that can guarantee any work for your child.

We will do our best to put your child forward for suitable roles and get them to audition in front of Casting Directors.

The end client makes the decision on who they choose based on their requirements, so your agent and Casting Directors are not involved in the decision-making process.

Note: There may be some busy periods and some very quiet periods. This does not mean that your agent is not suggesting you for jobs, it may be that there is not anything suitable at that time or there are no suitable roles. Please be patient.

What happens when my child has been called for a Casting/Audition?

This is great news! It is not easy to get an audition so very positive to have been selected.

We will let you know if your child has an audition and will provide you will all the details required for that casting. This does not mean that your child has a job. This is an invitation for your child to audition for a specific job that they will have a chance to be chosen for.

Audition requests can be very last minute so please make sure that you are able to commit to travelling into London at short notice. If you are unable to do this or reject auditions more than three times, we will terminate the contract.

Casting Directors/Production companies will hold casting sessions generally after school hours. There may be times that it could be a little earlier and you would need to request to take your child out a little earlier if we are unable to secure a later time slot.

Audition durations varies from 2 minutes to 30 minutes depending on what time of production it is. Your child can be asked to do several different things in an audition varying from informal chats, motions or reading a script that has been provided in advance.

This is usually filmed on camera so please make sure your child is comfortable in front of the camera and with other people in the room. It is also important that your child is able to follow instructions and take direction.

Please do not be worried if there are lots of other children at the casting. This is an audition and they will be looking at other children too.

What happens after I have attended the casting? When will I find out if I got the job?

The casting process can be very lengthy and involves many different elements. We will inform you if you are recalled (client would like to see you again) or if you have been selected for the role.

Casting Directors do not have the time to provide feedback for every children that they have called in to audition and therefore if you do not hear anything back from us, this means that your child has not been selected for this job.

Please do not be disheartened as this is normal and there are many opportunities to go for other work. Patience is required in this industry.

What happens when my child is selected for the job?

Congratulations! This is an achievement that your child should be proud of and very exciting! Once we know the details of the shoot we will provide you will all the information.

Jobs are generally during school hours so there are a number of steps to go through to enable for your child to perform but we will support you with this. We will need to follow the process below:

• Applying for a performance license with the local authority

• Letter from school to allow your child time off to perform

• Have a copy of your child’s birth certificate

• Have a headshot of your child
